How It All Started

Two friends from Edinburgh with an idea, and the drive, to improve the state of housing across Scotland, and speed up the long drawn process of buying and selling property.

BACKGROUND

Where It Started &
Where We’re Headed

A narrow alleyway between old stone buildings with windows, black drainpipes, and a lamp post. The alley leads to stairs and a street beyond, under an overcast sky.

MCW Property Group was created to work with property situations that are often overlooked by the traditional market.

Inherited homes, tenanted properties, dated houses, vacant buildings and difficult-to-sell assets all require a more practical approach. For many owners, the priority is not months of viewings or uncertainty — it is a clear conversation, a fair assessment and a route forward that fits their circumstances.

That is where MCW operates.

We focus on Scottish properties with potential. We assess each opportunity carefully, understand the local market and look for practical ways to improve, reposition or bring properties back into productive use.

At the centre of that work is a simple belief: improving property should also improve the communities around it. By bringing overlooked homes back to a better standard, we aim to create quality housing that supports local families, strengthens neighbourhoods and adds long-term value to the places we live and work.

As the business develops, we are also building private relationships with aligned investors who want to support carefully assessed property opportunities through lending or joint venture participation.

Our direction is clear: create a trusted Scottish property business that helps sellers move forward, improves homes with purpose and gives serious investors a private route into practical, project-led opportunities.

The principle remains simple.

Buy well. Improve with purpose. Communicate clearly. Deliver properly.

OUR VALUES

The principles behind how we buy, improve and work with people.

Clear Communication

We believe all communication should be straightforward, honest and easy to understand.

Practical Solutions

Every property situation is different. We look for clear, workable routes forward rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.

Long-Term Thinking

We focus on decisions that make sense beyond the immediate transaction — for sellers, investors, future occupants and the local market.
