About MCW Property Group

An Edinburgh-based property company focused on direct purchases, responsible improvement and clear communication.

A traditional Edinburgh Old Town close

Our Story

Why We Started MCW

MCW Property Group was founded in Edinburgh to provide property owners with a more direct and practical alternative to the traditional open market.

We consider inherited homes, tenanted properties, dated houses, vacant buildings and other properties where the owner may value greater certainty, privacy or a clearer route forward.

Every enquiry is reviewed individually. We assess the property, its condition, the local market and the seller’s circumstances before explaining whether a direct purchase may be suitable.

Our aim is straightforward: buy carefully, improve properties responsibly and communicate clearly throughout the process.

Buy carefully. Improve responsibly. Communicate clearly.

What to Expect

How a Direct Purchase Works

01

A Clearly Identified Buyer

If we decide to proceed, we will explain who is purchasing the property before solicitors are instructed. There is no onward property chain.

02

A Confirmed Funding Route

Purchases may use company funds, property finance or private capital, depending on the transaction. The proposed route will be confirmed as part of the assessment.

03

The Scottish Legal Process

Both parties appoint solicitors. Any purchase remains subject to due diligence, satisfactory legal checks and the conclusion of missives.

Our Values

The Principles Behind How We Buy, Improve and Work With People

01

Clear Communication

We aim to explain the process, expectations and next steps clearly without unnecessary complexity.

02

Responsible Improvement

Our objective is to improve properties appropriately and help return useful homes to productive use.

03

Practical Solutions

We focus on realistic property decisions based on the circumstances of the seller, the building and the project.

04

Long-Term Thinking

We aim to build lasting relationships with property owners, investors and professional partners through consistent delivery.
